Computational/Simulation Lab

The Simulation Lab is equipped with a 3D Visualization System Station and workstations. We hold the licenses of the most recent versions of the following software packages for our research:

 

  • PETREL/ECLIPSE - Reservoir simulator

  • CMG - Reservoir Simulator

  • FRACA - Fracture Network Analysis and Simulation

  • MFRAC/MSHALE – Hydraulic Fracturing Simulator

3D Visualization System Station

This station combines a 3D TV and a tracking system to build an interactive immersive user interface at relatively low cost.  It can be used to visualize computer simulation results and laboratory observations.
