Enhanced Oil & Gas Recovery and Reservoir Characterization
Welcome to the EOGRRC Research Group
Dr. Tayfun Babadagli’s EOGRRC research group is housed in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department-School of Mining and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Alberta
Research
The EOGRRC research group focuses on problems relating to the efficiency of enhanced oil and gas recovery in fractured and non-fractured reservoirs, and characterization of this kind of reservoirs. Our research areas cover two aspects of petroleum reservoir engineering:
Enhanced Oil and Gas Recovery (EOGR)
Reservoir Characterization (RC)
Dr. Babadagli's research program is also part of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada's (NSERC) Industrial Research Chair (IRC) in Unconventional Oil Recovery. For more information please visit our
Mission
Our first mission is to improve research for industry by developing and improving world class reservoir engineering solutions for industry conducting fundamental research to be further used for practical purposes creating strong, collaborative, interactive, and multi-disciplinary relations with industry and fellow researchers to tackle today's challenges in enhanced oil and gas recovery and reservoir characterization.
Our second mission is to foster and educate students by providing knowledge and facilities to do cutting-edge MSc, MEng, and PhD research providing research help to achieve successful, rewarding careers in the oil & gas industry.
